This May, an Anthem intern will spend a 10-week paid internship as part of Government Business Division as a Network Management Consultant within the DSRIP strategy team. As part of the team, you will assist Anthem in ensuring we drive better health outcomes and improve the quality of care our members receive. The intern will learn about the different value based payment arrangements and help us drive our provider network into a program. Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to assist in the implementation and the development of value based strategies for NY Medicaid professional provider network. Prepare and maintain project plans and schedules inclusive of tasks, timelines, resources, milestones, dependencies, and assumptions. Evaluate and monitor performance and efficiency of project plan to ensure that implementation meets targeted timelines. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple Medicaid business divisions on status, communication and next steps of project.
As an Anthem intern, you will gain valuable professional experience as you work on challenging and interesting assignments throughout the summer. This position will be located in New York, NY. To qualify for the program, you must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college and have a 3.0 or above grade point average. Intern candidates will need to demonstrate a blend of talents and skills including:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Suite knowledge
- Strong excel and power point skills preferred
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Project management experience a plus
